The Bestest Christmas Ever!

O.M.G. my house is quiet! This is definitely going to take some time to get used to again. I miss my Dylan's "mmmmmmm mmmmmmm mmmmmmm" while he sat at the table eating, I miss Tyler's continuous barage of questions, I miss the constant and total chaos of people talking, laughing, picking on each other, wrestling, pushing, eating, etc. I miss fighting for the bathroom (although rule #1 was mama gets the bathroom first) I miss the morning snuggles from my little boys, I miss standing at the counter feeding Dylan orange sections...I swear I could stand there all day and that little boy would keep eating! I miss too many people in my kitchen, I miss all the dirty dishes, the smell of coffee brewing, the sound of panic when we ran out of coffee creamer and had to do with Irish Cream (EEEEWWWWWW) I miss "I want something to eat...may I please have something to eat?" I miss the easy family togetherness, the unconditional love and acceptance, the smiles and laughter, David trying to eat a bowl of chocolate chips so I didn't have to make more dough for the cookies. I am so truely blessed in my children and grandchildren.

This truly was the bestest Christmas ever! Christmas eve was the day for all our friends to come and visit. My BFF Linda and husband Del, daughter Robyn and grandson Chad came to visit and brought tons of food which was snacked on for days...thank you so much for that. Brother/adopted son James brought his usual sense of humor and love...I still have your beer sitting outside the back door James. Brother Bob and Linda arrived on their way through to Longview and Christmas with Megan (scenic route ya know) Thank you Bob, you will never know how much that little side trip meant to me. My kids loved seeing you (especially Chrissy) and I really needed that hug I got. Robin's friend Orenda and her son arrived and enjoyed the afternoon with us. My dear friend Sarah came and visited with the family, she sat on the floor in the den and showed Tyler that she still carries the special rock he found for her.

Christmas day was total chaos! Just watching everyone opening presents and listening to the squeals and laughter made my heart happy. Thank you everyone for my gifts, I love my e-book and clothes and toaster/egg cooker and camera. Thank you Robyn for my medicine bag necklace and special rock. So many blessings!

I love you all so much, you have made me so proud of the people you have become and the parents you are to your children. Never lose your laughter and smiles, never lose your faith. I know that you have rekindled mine.

I love you.
